Here are some of the highlights of our Spring Break camping trip. I took about 150-200 pics on the first two days, but none on the third and fourth.
Our first night there was COLD!!! We darn near froze to death with lows in the 38-40 degree range. (No making fun, Craig.) The next morning was brutally cold, but a warm breakfast and lots of hot chocolate helped. After breakfast, the kids played frisbee across the street while the adults geared themselves up for a hike. We then all hiked to the top of Old Baldy. It was a pretty hard and steep hike for one who was six months pregnant, and the other with knees of jello.
After our hike, we ate lunch and played in the river for a bit. Just long enough for the kids to have fun before their fingers and toes turned purple. Although the dog was initially excited about the water, he figured out pretty quickly that he was better off on dry land.
The third day, the dads took the kids for a hike while moms took a shower. Also, I couldn't figure a safe way to bring my camera on the river when we went tubing down the Rio Frio. (Yes, the water was frio, very frio!)
Day four was only breaking camp and packing up. Nothing photo-worthy.
So, we really only have one full day of photo-ops showing here. Enjoy!
