Thankful

In this season of thanksgiving, I am thankful for paid vacation days.

I have been at my current job for enough time to have accumulated some paid vacation time that I am able to use. This comes in handy for all the random days off school that the kids get in our district.

There is always a random Monday in October, today is another. My employers are aware that if my kids aren't in school, I will not be at work.

And now, they can pay me for sleeping in until 9am, making cookies with my kids, and shopping for new scrubs with my new raise.

I hope to have even more days next year due to all the hours I've been working lately...
