So, yesterday was Emily and my first day alone together. She got part of her wish. We did some shopping.
She got lots of treats in the process - sucker at the dry cleaners, cookie at the grocery store, another sucker at the hair cut place, brownies with her friend that came over to visit, in addition to all the browines that were fed to her at my camp meeting last night. Fortunately we did compensate by having a decent dinner.
Emily has been growing her hair long for the past year or so, despite constant requests to chop it all off like when she was younger. It was so cute then. Anyway, while we were waiting for the boy to get his hair cut, Emily found a style in one of the books that she liked. I was happy to see it required some cutting.
Here are her before pics, front and back ~
This is after the cutting ~
The girl ended up cutting it so her hair just reaches her shoulders and flips out on it's own. She also trimmed the bangs, which is a constant battle in our house.
Emily is very pleased with the results. I was a little surprised at how much the girl had to thin her hair to achieve this result.
