Increasing celiac awareness

What is a Triumph Dining Card, you may ask? Quite simply, it is something that can be shown to your waiter when you dine out to be certain you don't get a meal containing gluten. It is much clearer than trying to explain all the ways gluten can creep into foods.

I received an email from Kelly at Triumph Dining today. Triumph wants to raise awareness for celiac disease and the gluten-free diet and raise money for awareness at the same time. How are they planning to accomplish that?

Apparently, the emails started going out yesterday, and there have already been 20 orders for dining cards (as of this posting). It makes the goal of 15,000 seem not out of reach considering that August hasn't even begun.

"The purpose of this give-away is to raise money for Celiac Disease Awareness. If we get 15,000 people to sign up for free dining cards, Triumph Dining will make a $10,000 donation in support of a national celiac disease awareness campaign. When we hit our goal, we'll ask you and the gluten free community to help us decide which non-profit(s) receives the donation."

When you order your free dining card and use it, you can help to raise awareness. Multiply that by 15,000 and that's a whole lot of awareness going on.
