Vehicle Registration Lesson

I finally registered my truck today (expired 9/01/08) and I learned an interesting fact.

Did you know the Great State of Texas will only let you keep the same plates for seven years? After that, they give you new ones at no extra charge. Apparently "they", whoever they are, have decided that after seven years the reflective coating begins to wear off so the plates are less visible.

So, now I have new license plates to attach to my truck in the freezing cold before Chad and Thomas leave for their 10 mile hike at 6am tomorrow. At least I get to stay in bed...
